Katrina and Abhay "mile dobara" to celebrate the actor's 42nd birthday on Zero set

Katrina Kaif and Abhay Deol who last shared the silver screen together in 2009's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara will team up again for Aanand L Rai's Zero.

And on this occasion of Abhay Deol turning 42, Katrina took to her Instagram to wish the actor in the most nostalgic way possible. She shared a picture of them together and captioned it as "Mile Dobara".

Although the two shared the same screen space earlier, this will be the first time the actor will romance Katrina. While Kat plays the role of an alcoholic diva in the film, not much is revealed about Abhay's character. Albeit, the actor will only be seen for a fleeting amount of time as he has an extended guest appearance in the film.

A source close to the project informed a leading daily, “Abhay plays the boyfriend who dumps Katrina in the film. He will shoot most of his scenes with her. Even though it’s a cameo, he agreed to do it instantly because of his relationship with Aanandji, with whom he has had successful collaborations like Raanjhanaa (2013) and Happy Bhag Jayegi (2016).”

The film also stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead where Shah Rukh will essay the role of a dwarf while Anushka will be seen playing a struggling scientist who is mentally differently abled. Each character in the film will face their own struggle.

While Zero is bound to get Abhay the eyeballs he has been missing out on, Katrina is no less excited about being part of the project. She had recently claimed that she trusts Shah Rukh blindly as far as the film is concerned as he is personally looking into the technical details in terms of VFX, CGI and graphics and has hired the best people in the field for the same. She is also thrilled with the response the film’s teaser has received and is sure it will be a one of a kind film that all will be proud of. We’ve got our fingers crossed too!

Zero will hit the screens on December 21.
