Sridevi’s unabashed fan, Kareena condoles the Kapoor family

A sombre Kareena Kapoor Khan was spotted visiting the late actress, Sridevi’s residence to condole her family. Surprisingly, the actress was not papped on her visit to the Kapoor residence at Green Acres, Lokhandwala.

At the time of the actress’s funeral post her sudden death in Dubai, Kareena had been away in Rajasthan with husband Saif, who was shooting for his Navdeep Singh film.
However, once back in the city, she made it a point to go across to meet Sri’s husband Boney Kapoor and daughters, Janhvi and Khushi at their home.

Kareena has never made a secret of her complete adoration of Sridevi. She has always been a huge admirer of the legendary actress, while Sri, in turn, also helped Kareena train as an actress. In an earlier interview, Kareena has raved about her favourite actress of all time – Sridevi. “Oh, I simply love Sridevi. And so does Lolo (Karisma),” Kareena had gushed, adding, “She’s superb. She’s superb. I love the way she dances and sings. I can do it almost the same. Everyone says that I dance even better than her.”

That is proof of how closely Kareena would observe and copy all Sri’s expressions and moves!

Back when Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gham had released in 2002, Kareena had shared on ‘Rendezvous with Simi Garewal’ that she would dance to Sridevi’s iconic songs, even as her mom would record her performances. In fact, Bebo had also revealed years ago, “Sridevi and Chaalbaaz are the reasons I love being called glamorous!”

She had declared, “I have learned all my expressions from Chaalbaaz! Sridevi showcased her histrionics not in a defeated, no make-up avatar, but as a glamorous diva… Long eyelashes, complete eye makeup, full lips… The reason I love being called glamorous, the reason I promised myself that I’d be a proud commercial film heroine is Chaalbaaz.”

The shock that Sri is no more, is still to wear off especially for those who knew her closely and adored her.
