Among the people missing the late Bollywood superstar Sridevi are her personal hair and makeup artistes, Subhash Shinde and Noori Jaha. Like Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi and Khushi, they too cannot get over the actress’ death and are in shock. Subhash, in fact, was in Ras-al-Khaima with Sridevi for the Mohit Marwah-Antara Motiwala wedding, and he gave the gorgeous actress the glam look that was captured by the wedding photographers on the night of February 20. Four nights later, she was gone.
Recalling that night, Subhash exclusively told PeepingMoon.com, "She was the most comfortable actress to work with. There was no interference from her end because madam trusted my work. I worked with her for eight years and she treated me like one of her family. The last makeup I did for her was four days before she passed away. She was in a good mood. I took around 45 minutes to complete my job while her hair was being done. Who would have thought this would be my last makeup for Srideviji?” The iconic actress, the makeup man added, was happy and animated that night. “Madam looked absolutely fit and gorgeous. That is why, when I got the dreadful news, I was taken aback and made a few disbelieving calls to confirm it.”

But that wasn’t the last time that poor Sridevi was made up. The lovely actress was beautifully made up to resemble a bride for her funeral on February 28. The unfortunate task fell on Noori Jaha who reportedly stayed with Sridevi since she was 16 and did her hair and makeup on a daily basis while Subhash did the professional engagements the actress attended. When Sridevi’s mortal remains were brought back to Boney Kapoor’s Green Acres residence in Lokhandwala on February 27, it was Noori who was summoned home to prepare her for the lying-in-state ceremony at Celebration Sports Club in Lokhandwala next morning before the last rites at the Pawan Hans Crematorium. Noori used to call Sridevi “Maa” and is as shattered by the tragedy as are Janhvi and Khushi. She reportedly told the media, “There is a vacuum in my life. I will act like a mother to her daughters now.”
The family wanted the world to remember Sridevi as a gorgeous woman and it was left to Noori to make her up like a bride.
