Namastey England stars Parineeti Chopra-Arjun Kapoor seek Blessings at Golden Temple

On the first day of the shoot of their upcoming film, Namaste England, the film's lead actors Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra paid a visit to the auspicious Golden Temple in Amritsar. They were accompanied by film's director Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

Arjun, who was in UAE, to attend cousin Mohit Marwah's wedding, headed back to Punjab directly to begin the film's shoot and join the team for the first schedule. But this visit was a special one for the actor, as this was the first time the actor got the opportunity to visit the holy temple.

“Arjun went to the Golden Temple so that he could seek blessings. It was an impromptu plan by him. He said that he would like to pray at the Temple before he starts shooting the film. He spent about 30 mins praying alone and then went straight to the shoot. Parineeti and Vipul were also with him. It was a really auspicious way to start the film,” says a source from the sets of the film.

The team will later move to Ludhiana, Patiala, Dhaka, Paris, Brussels and London for the further shoot. The director had earlier filmed Akshay Kumar-Katrina Kaif’s Namastey London in Chandigarh and Patiala. In a press statement Vipul shared,"Both theircharacters are from Punjab and this is the first time that Arjun and Parineeti will be playing genuine lovers. From Amritsar, we move to Ludhiana and Patiala. We are filming at more than 75 locations spread across these three cities. Later, we’ll also be shooting in Dhaka, Paris, Brussels and finally in London. That’s how the love story progresses.”

Arjun and Parineeti will reunite after their 2012 film Ishaqzaade. Apart from Namastey England, the two will also be seen in Dibakar Banerjee’s Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.

Namastey England is slated to hit theatres on December 7, 2018.
