Kangana-Rajkummar will raise our heartbeat…

He was detested across the country for being the cheapo who dumped his gal at the mandap and forced her to go on their honeymoon on her own. Rajkummar Rao essayed the role of the caddish fiancé who developed cold feet with such accuracy, he won loads of hate in the bargain!

Now he reunites with his Queen co-star Kangana Ranaut in Shailesh R Singh and Ekta Kapoor’s psychological thriller, which rolls in March.

In the four years since Vikas Bahl’s much loved comedy-drama Queen hit the screens and universally won hearts, Rajkummar has made even bigger strides as an actor. With a slew of stunning performances in Newton, Trapped, Aligarh and Bareilly Ki Barfi under his belt, it will be most interesting to see the actor team up with the magnificent Kangana.

Their upcoming film is to be directed by the son of veteran south filmmaker, K Raghavendra Rao – Prakash Kovelamudi. Prakash has already directed Bommalata, which won the Best Film in Telugu at the 53rd National awards.

Prakash makes his debut in Hindi films with this fast-paced thriller which revolves around the two protagonists. The film is apparently set in London and Mumbai. It has been written by Prakash’s wife, writer Kanika Dhillon, who has penned the screenplay and dialogue for Shah Rukh’s Ra.One, the Sushant Singh Rajput-Sara Ali Khan starrer Kedarnath and the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Size Zero.

Apparently the lead pair is very keen to collaborate on this exciting film. Rajkummar apparently heard the script and gave it the thumbs-up immediately. Before starting shooting, he will complete Shelly Dhar’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, which brings together Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Juhi Chawla. Also in his kitty is Amar Kaushik’s horror-comedy, Stree with Shraddha Kapoor playing the female lead.

Kangana is currently completing the historical, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi being filmed in Jodhpur.

Come March, it will be time to make magic together onscreen… that’s something we can pretty much guarantee!
