After Kareena, 'Permanent Roommates' fame Sumeet Vyas to work with Kangana Ranaut?

Bollywood loves unusual pairings and 2018 has some of the quirkiest jodis in store for the audience. And if reports are to be believed, a film by Shailesh Singh is on cards featuring Kangana Ranaut and Permanent Roommates fame Sumeet Vyas!!

The untitled film is touted to be a thriller and will see the actress paired opposite web-series sensation Sumeet, who is currently on a roll. Last seen alongside Kalki Koechlin in Ribbon in 2017, he is gearing up for his big break, opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan in Veere Di Wedding which is slated for a June 2018 release and features a star-studded cast of Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar.

Apparently, Kangana is currently neck deep in Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi's shoot. Then her directorial venture Teju is also underway. But sources say she might pick up her dear friend Shailesh's project first before kickstarting her directorial debut.

Kangana's last few films have not performed as per expectations at the box office. Hence, the actress is picking her projects with utmost care. A pairing with a talented, yet a not-so-known face as Sumeet, is another gamble for the actress, who isn't afraid of taking bold calls, despite setbacks.

As for Sumeet, this might open new avenues for the actor who has traveled a long way from TV to films. The actor, who first grabbed eyeballs when he played a character named Salman Khan, a classmate of Sridevi in the film English Vinglish (2012), wants to try something different. “I have turned down a lot of scripts, though I know I’m not in a position to reject many offers, because things might end up getting scary. But I feel it’s important for me to do that, to avoid getting stereotyped. I am tired of playing the nice guy, the lover boy. I want to play an a**hole. I want to shave off my head, put paint and tattoos all over my body. I want to do all kinds of roles,” he quoted to a leading daily in the past.

Looking forward to see this one?
