Hrithik’s Super 30 look is all kinds of super!

We will be honest; we had our reservations about Hrithik being able to slip into the well-worn shoes of a small-town, non-glam mathematician. The actor essays the role of Anand Kumar in the biopic Super 30. He plays the simple tutor from Bihar who coaches economically backward students to crack the challenging IIT entrance examinations.
But trust Mr Roshan to banish every doubt, just like that!

The actor’s first look from Super 30 is out and there’s not a trace of B-wood’s best-looking actor in its main character! Hrithik is seen sporting a thick beard, and a scruffy mop of hair. His shirt looks like one that has seen several washes, while his skin echoes the tan of one who spends his entire day under the scorching sun. Best of all is the expression on his face, the simple, heartfelt look in his eyes… Yes, he is acing the look alright.

Filming for this Vikas Bahl directorial has teed off in Varanasi today. In January, Hrithik had revealed that he had started off prep for his role. He had shared: “On the auspicious day of Saraswati Puja and Basant Panchami, I am beginning my journey of ‘Super 30’ where I am playing a teacher for the first time. May the Goddess of learning bless this effort.”

Hrithik had been coached by Anand Kumar himself, who has been an intrinsic part of the entire project, right from its inception. The aim has been to keep the story as authentic as possible. In fact, Kumar had even mentioned that he was excited to see Hrithik essaying his emotional journey. “I am happy that Hrithik will play me because he is the best choice for the role. His dedication towards his work and the kind of versatility he exhibits as an actor is very inspiring. Being a rooted and passionate person myself, I feel that he will bring an emotional depth to my life on screen.”

Going by this single snapshot, Hrithik is doing that already…
