Those missing Ash on the big screen, are in for a triple treat. While the stunner is currently shooting for Fanne Khan, which sees her reunite on screen with Anil Kapoor, she has a thriller lined up next. Buzz has it that the yet untitled film will be shot from March or April 2018 onwards at a location in Europe. And the film has a double pleasure in store – she will be essaying a double role in the film, no less!
On top of this, comes news that the actress is said to be keen on the remake of the 1967 thriller, Raat Aur Din. The role would see her reprise the character Varuna, who had been played stunningly by the legendary Nargis. Nargis had even been felicitated with the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance as Varuna, who suffers from multiple personality disorder.

This would be a role for Ash to really sink her teeth into… The opportunity to play the humble homemaker by day and the mysterious Peggy at night, would give her just the chance to showcase her acting skills and silence those who keep harping about her lack of them. To be directed by Siddharth Anand, word has it that c has also been approached for the same role as Aishwarya.
Incidentally, Aishwarya has already been there, done that, as far as double roles are concerned. She had played a double role in her debut film, Iruvar (1997), though she is yet to play a character with multiple personality disorder on the big screen. The Raat Aur Din remake will be produced jointly by Prernaa Arora and Siddharth Anand. While Prernaa confirmed that she is in talks with Aishwarya, the actress is reportedly yet to give her nod to the film. We presume it is just a matter of time!
