And the 12 crore reward goes to… Priyanka Chopra!

All that Hollywood honour and hobnobbing with the cream, is not without its perks! Now reports come in that Priyanka Chopra has been offered a mammoth Rs.12 crore just to perform in a half-hour slot at an upcoming awards ceremony in India this December. Apparently, ever since the lady went international, her asking price reflects that too. Buzz goes she will be performing to a mash-up of both, her international singles, as well as her Hindi film hits.

Our girl in the West is doing pretty well for herself. Full credit to her, that she had reportedly even managed to swing a considerable pay hike for herself for Season 3 of ‘Quantico’. According to unconfirmed sources, the National Award winning actress had been paid Rs.25 crore for the three months of each earlier season of the show.

With earnings of $10 million between June 1, 2016 and June 1, 2017, she came in at number 8 of Forbes’ list of the highest paid TV actresses of 2017. It had been pointed out how, after becoming a household name both in India and the U.S, with film projects in both Hollywood and Bollywood, as well as a starring role on a broadcast show and a handful of lucrative endorsements, Chopra had managed to parlay that fame into quite the paycheck. In addition to picking up a People's Choice Award for her role in the series, Forbes estimated that she makes more than $3 million per season. Besides making her big screen debut in the US with Baywatch in May, she was also named official ambassador for haircare company Pantene, in a campaign that also features Selena Gomez and Rhonda Rousey. In fact her endorsement deals apparently account for more than 50 percent of her income.
Back home, in addition to her Bollywood acting career which has been going strong over a decade, she has made a successful foray as producer. And half-hour slots that pay big bucks are always welcome, especially considering Deepika Padukone was paid a crore less at Rs.11 crore for Padmavati!
