Yesterday when Rangoli Chandel revealed the arrival of her pride and joy, we predicted that none would be more thrilled about the birth of little Prithvi Raj than his aunt, Kangana. As expected, the actress is evidently over the moon about the appearance of her sister Rangoli’s beautiful baby boy, and can’t wait to be by his side. Even work, which generally consumes her, will be placed on the back-burner for a bit, as the new aunt will take time out to smother the “little munchkin,” as Rangoli described her baby boy, in loads of love.

Kangana has been immersed in filming her upcoming Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in Jodhpur. However, while she has to continue shooting in the Blue City till November 30, she can’t wait to wing it home after that to be by the side of her sister and her brand new nephew.

This sisters, who are extremely close, had spent Diwali together this year at their family home. Choosing to skip the customary round of Diwali bashes in Bollywood, Kangana had opted for a quiet festival among her loved ones. This was a wise decision, considering the dust raised by the entire fracas with Hrithik Roshan was just about starting to settle. And rather than grab undue attention at B-town’s glittering parties, the Rangoon star opted for time out at her family home in the hills.

Her sister Rangoli Chandel, then pregnant, took to social media, to give us glimpses of their warm and fuzzy festivities in their Himachal hometown. Both sisters clad simply but elegantly in all-red ensembles, could be seen making beautiful rangoli designs with mother Asha Ranaut. Rangoli had captioned the images, “#childhoodmemories #parentshouse #Himachal enjoying every bit of the day!!! Happy Diwali.”
The actress is also excited about her new home in the hills, an eight-bedroom house, spread across three levels, with gorgeous views of the Himalayas.
