KJO’s twins to ‘debut’ at Taimur’s B'day!

Karan Johar is super excited. Just as he got Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra, and Varun Dhawan to debut in his 2012 romantic comedy-drama Student of The Year, the filmmaker is planning the ‘coming out’ of his twins Roohi and Yash. And in typical filmi style, Karan has picked a grand occasion for them to make their public debut. “It will be on Taimur’s first birthday – December 20,” he told Neha Dhupia on her podcast No Filter Season 2 yesterday.

Taimur, of course, is Taimur Ali Khan – the social media superstar baby of actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan. Karan’s twins were born two months after him on February 7, out of surrogacy. In August, when they turned six months old, KJo shared pictures of Roohi and Yash on his Instagram account. But he’s not brought them out in public as yet. Taimur’s birthday will be the day.

The decision was apparently taken by Kareena and Karan. The two have been the best of friends for years and it was natural for him to pick a baby’s birthday party in which he would introduce his twins to the world and vice versa. The pictures that will get taken there are sure to break the Internet. “I can’t wait for the photograph of these three cuties,” Karan said.

Karan is a proud and enthusiastic father. When they were born, he tweeted the arrival of his twins, “I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children, and lifelines; Roohi and Yash. I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science.” Now he’s whetting people’s appetites for pictures of the three babies. Taimur, who is already an Internet sensation, can be counted on to show Roohi and Yash how it’s done.
