Still Seething, Rishi trains guns on the Anurags!

Will either of the Anurags - Kashyap or Basu - stand up and land a few retaliatory virtual blows? Or will they simply behave all grown-up and boring, and ignore the latest missile from the rebel-without-a-pause Rishi Kapoor?

On his recent outing on No Filter Neha 2, the veteran actor ranted, “Anurag? There is Anurag Kashyap, who made Bombay Velvet, but he made a better film in Gangs Of Wasseypur, I couldn't understand head or tail of Bombay Velvet. And then there was Basu who made Barfi, an outstanding film. I am so happy he took my son for it. My son got great recognition for the film and then he made this Gajja Jasoos... what Jagga Jasoos, whatever... which he made a total mess of. It was as messy as my pronunciation was. He probably got indulged too much. I guess both the Anurags got indulged in their films. You know, when they are good enough to work on certain budget and suddenly they are given huge budgets in hand so bandar ke haath mein khilona nahin aa jaata hai, he goes absolutely berserk! So, I think that's what actually happened with both these guys. They were given budgets they could not handle and I guess it happens. It happens with every director, every actor; you can't have a hundred percent record anyway...So it happens.”

Rishi hasn’t minced his words in the past either, making his disappointment with these filmmakers amply clear. After the recent debacle of Jagga Jasoos, he had come out all guns blazing to blast, “Till Wednesday (days before the release), Anurag Basu was still mixing the film. Can you imagine that? Pritam (composer) probably delivered the music only a week before. What can you say? I totally agree with Ekta (Kapoor) when she threw him out from her film (Kuch Toh Hai). He had problems with Rakesh Roshan while working on Kites (2010). He's such an irresponsible director that he doesn't complete the film. It was supposed to release three times in the past two years, but it kept getting delayed.”

Truly, hell hath no fury as a doting dad whose darling son has been scorned!
