Oh Boy! Ranveer Singh shaves off his beard and we can't stop swooning

Ranveer Singh stepped out last night minus the Padmavati beard and Bollywood’s hotness quotient shot up to an all-time high. A suburban PYT, who spotted the clean-shaven actor strutting around in Bandra, said, “He’s looking cute AF!”

That might be. But the Bollywood press is more curious to know whether Ranveer has finished shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama for which he had been maintaining the beard since mid-2016. He’s playing the role of Allaudin Khilji in Padmavati and just last week had trimmed the beard to a sexy stubble because he was shooting the younger scenes of his character.

A Bollywood fashionista said the clean-shaved Ranveer look is bound to leave people gob smacked! The flamboyant actor cheekily posed for paparazzi last night in a black and white track suit. He was, of course, wearing his favorite bright red sneakers. When a paparazzo shouted out and asked if this was the look of his next film Gully Boy, Ranveer sauntered away with an innocent smirk. Buzz is that this is his avatar for Zoya Akhtar’s film in which his character is a street rapper.

Gully Boy is the rapper’s rags to riches story and it’s based on the life of rappers Naezy and Divine. The question being asked if whether his nubile young fans prefer this clean look of Ranveer’s over the bearded one. In which is the masculinity factor more? Let us know in the comments below.

Deepika Padukone’s opinion will not be considered. She’s tolerated Ranveer’s bushy look for so long that she’s probably used to it and forgotten what a dashing killer the man could be like when he’s not weighed down by all that extra hair. Bollywood sources are taking bets that whichever film Ranveer accepts next, his character will be definitely sporting a beard. That’s been his style. In every alternate film, he is mustached and bearded and then clean-shaven again. People are still talking about what a dream boat he was in Dil Dhadakne Do with his naughty, squeaky clean look.  Meanwhile, for now, the 'swooning-over-Ranveer-Singh-phase' is in full swing.
