Karishma Prakash resigns from KWAN, talent management agency clarifies 'she has nothing to do with Deepika Padukone'

Amid the ongoing probe in the alleged Bollywood drugs case, celebrity manager Karishma Prakash has resigned from her talent agency KWAN. The former manager of Deepika Padukone is being investigated in the case by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) since September. Issuing a statement that KWAN has broken all ties with her, Vijay Subramaniam, co-founder and CEO of the talent management agency mentioned that her resignation has been accepted with immediate effect.

"Karishma Prakash tendered her resignation on 21st of October with immediate effect and it was accepted. She now has nothing to do with KWAN or with any of the artists that the agency represents including Deepika Padukone. The ongoing investigations are on Karishma Prakash as an individual. We would request media houses and reporters to incorporate this fact while reporting on this issue," stated Vijay in his statement.

Today, November 4, Karishma appeared before the NCB to record her statement. Recently, the investigation agency issued a fresh summon to Karishma after the NCB seized 1.7 gm of hashish, two bottles of CBD oil and a cannabis product during a search at her residence. Karishma's name in the alleged Bollywood drugs case cropped up after WhatsApp chats were leaked. She appeared before the investigating agency in September with Deepika.
