Punjabi Singer Parmish Verma Shot in Mohali, Facebook user claims responsibility

Popular Punjabi singer Parmish Verma was shot at by some unidentified goons at 1.30 am on Saturday and was later admitted to a hospital for treatment. Police confirmed the news of the shooting and said that the incident took place in sector 19 of Mohali. Parmish is popular Punjabi singer who shot to fame with his chartbuster song Gaal Nahin Kadhnai. A Facebook user who goes by the name of Dilpreet Singh Dhahan claimed today on his social media account that he shot the singer in Mohali and shared his picture with a red cross on it.

Parmish was shot last night at Mohali when he was returning home. Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chahal said, “A bullet hit his leg”. Verma was not alone and was accompanied by one of his friends when the apparent shooting took place. His friend was also injured in the shooting but is thankfully out of danger. Dilpreet Singh Dhahan claimed to have shot the singer and shared his picture with the caption, “Mein dilpreet singh dhahan sariya nu dasna chaunda k ajj parmish verma de goliya bazian apa mariya.” (I, Dilpreet Singh Dhahan, want to tell everyone that I am the one who shot Parmish Verma).”

Parmish was also slated to play the lead role in the Punjabi remake of Ajay Devgn starrer Singham. On April 2, 2018, Bollywood star Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to announce that Parmish would star in the Punjabi remake of his movie Singham. The movie is being produced by Devgn along with Kumar Mangat and is eyeing 2019 release.
