Aditya Pancholi gets interim relief in the rape case filed against him by a Bollywood actress

Aditya Pancholi has been granted interim relief in the rape case filed against him by a Bollywood actress. The Dindoshi sessions court granted the bail to the actor till July 19. The Versova police had filed a case against the actor in a case where he was accused of raping and assaulting an actress.

Aditya had filed for anticipatory bail on Monday in the case against him. He had said in a statement that he was being falsely accused in the case. He had said, “I am being falsely implicated in this case. I have all the evidence and video in this case. I am ready to cooperate with the Mumbai Police. If they will call me for my statement, then I will cooperate. I am ready for investigation. I knew that a case will be registered against me. I am not going anywhere. The police have not approached me after the FIR was registered."

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Paramjit Singh Dahiya had earlier informed a tabloid about the FIR filed against Pancholi and had said, “We filed an FIR under Sections 376 (rape), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison, etc with intent to commit an offence), 384 (punishment for extortion), 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.”
