Glimmer and glamour, shimmer and shine seduced your senses as you watched Suneet Varma’s latest collection called ‘50 Shades of Happiness’ at the FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week.
It was an attempt to strike a perfectly balanced union between the Indian design pedigree with a western design rationale. Drawing inspiration from the magical beauty and splendour of the Valley of Flowers, this lovely line was inclusive of all things that make the delightful designer happy … brightly-coloured children’s books, stories from other long-forgotten times and dramatic storytelling.
It was a chic collection with a mix of modernity and abstract artwork with age-old Indian crafts adding to the utterly feminine, modern and romantic aesthetic.
The happy show brought alive a picture of a perfect feminine, romantic and modern woman.
Shades of soft pink and playful yellow among other happy hues filled you with much joy and happiness as did the delicate details on the enchanting ensembles.
