Slow motion and emotion with that shimmer and shine, flow and glow enraptured you as you witnessed Amit Aggarwal’s showcase presented by Tresemme at Lakme Fashion Week 2020 Digital First Season Fluid Edition.
Being the last show of the day it seemed like a flight in the night. Called ‘First Light’ this was a festive fashion feast with varied hues, delightful designs, careful construction and that glow of glamour that burst before you. What you saw were the colours of the cosmos including Saturn gold, Venus violet, Gamma green and Earth plum.
Complementing the free-flowing and lightweight creations was the effortless hairstyle look of Tresemme.
The inspiration behind ‘First Light’ is that as we experience the world through the safety of our homes, stars continue to twinkle and space remains vast and undisturbed. It is an escape into a gossamer freedom with celestial weightlessness coming to life through highly technical material and precise karigari.
The fabric foundation saw organic Indian Chanderi and Matka silk merging with the designer’s ace industrial hand-weaving techniques that were inspired by traditional basket weaves. Enhancing this celestial splendour of the creations, incorporated was the Leheriya technique that projected imagery of orbiting spirals in space.
What you saw was a merry melange of swirling lehengas, exquisite saris and super separates that were just perfect for the festive season.
