Juhi Parmar deletes social media reels after discovering their problematic lyrics, emphasizes on 'responsible parenting'

Juhi Parmar is an active social media user. Be it sharing fun pictures and videos with her daughter Samairra to sharing quick recipes with her fans, she knows how to delight everyone. Juhi, who is often trying out new trends on social media, got a major shock when she learnt that she was unknowingly using songs that had foul language. Her friend, Aashka Goradia pointed it out to her and after that, Juhi deleted all her problematic posts. Now, in a statement, Juhi spoke about responsible parenting and stated the importance of parental control on social media. She admitted her mistake and assured her fans that she'll check every song before using it.

"A lot of you decided to join the bandwagon of responsible parenting with me, a lot of you deleted your wheels a lot who were going to make something on the song decided not to. And I want to, first of all, thank all of you for believing in something I genuinely did. And like I mentioned I am human too and I have made similar mistakes. But it's only when my friend Aashu (Aashka Goradia) pointed out the lyrics did I realise that now each and every song needed to be checked. But there are songs I have used without realising their lyrics. And as I deleted those I want to say that they were mistakes made unconsciously e and I truly am someone who believes in owning up to one's mistake rather than just being someone who preaches. I am as human as you are but I know my radar is up and I check every song before I use it, I urge you to do the same," Juhi wrote on Instagram.

In her caption, she wrote, "For those of you who may not have seen the language and lyrics I am speaking about which have led to this post and my #ResponsibleParenting posts, please check link in bio. The other reels I’m deleting are up on my stories so you know that we are all in this together!"

The caption of the reel read, "It’s taken me time and a lot of thinking to put this up today. I too was in the bandwagon of wanting to pick up all the fabulous songs I was listening to on social media. In fact I know I have made some mistakes too. But!!!! I started wondering what the lyrics are and once I read the lyrics I was shocked. I repeated the exercise with more songs and then spotted so many parents using these songs for themselves and on their children’s videos as well. I just couldn’t believe how most of us haven’t been noticing. I know as a parent I’m extremely careful about what my daughter watches and reads and it’s the same in terms of what she listens to. Hence I urge all of you to be careful, do your checks. I will keep sharing with you what I spot in my responsible parenting series and the rest shall be your call!"
