Dilip Joshi quashes rumour of tiff with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah co-star Raj Anadkat, calls it 'absolutely rubbish'

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most successful shows on television. The sitcom produced by Asit Kumar Modi will be completing 13 years in July this year. While the show is loved by all, it has been embroiled in a few controversies too. According to a media report, all isn't well between the lead actor Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal and his on-screen son Raj Anadkat aka Tapu.

However, Dilip, who has been on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah since its inception, rubbished the news and indicated everything is fine between the two. For the unversed, Raj stepped in as Tapu after Bhavya Gandhi quit the show in 2017. Talking to an entertainment portal, Dilip said, "Absolutely rubbish. Who cooks up all these false stories?"

The rumour of a tiff between Dilip and Raj surfaced after a source close to the show told an entertainment portal, 'Dilip Joshi is the senior-most actor on sets. Despite working on Taarak Mehta for so many years, he makes sure to be on time. There’s never a delay or effect on the shoot because of him. But Raj recently kept him waiting for an hour or so. What irked him is the fact that it was repeatedly happening. Dilip schooled him for being late on sets after the pattern was being repeated again and again. He has also unfollowed Raj on Instagram."

In the month of March, rumours of a tiff between Dilip and Shailesh Lodha aka Taarak Mehta made headlines. Dismissing them as false, Shailesh told a daily, "Believe me, there is nothing like that between Dilip Joshi and me. Our relationship is much stronger than our on-screen relationship. We share the same makeup room and people on the set call us ‘best buddies’."

Currently, Munmun Dutta, who plays the character of Babita in the show, landed in troubled waters for using a casteist slur in a now-deleted YouTube video. Multiple FIRs have been registered against her in different parts of the country.
