Abhinav Kohli reacts to Raja Choudhary's statement supporting ex-wife Shweta Tiwari, says 'he went through the same kind of mental torture many years ago'

Abhinav Kohli has opened up on Raja Chaudhary's statement supporting ex-wife Shweta Tiwari. He called Raja a good man and said that he won't speak anything against him. Just recently Raja opened up about Abhinav and Shweta's fights and failed marriage. Calling Shweta an 'excellent mother' and a 'very good wife', Raja said two failed marriages don't make her a wrong or bad person.

Following Raja's interview, in an exclusive chat with a TV news show, Abhinav Kohli reacted to his statement and also spoken about the court case regarding his son Reyansh's custody. Speaking about Raja, he said, “'I will not say anything against Raja Chaudhary because he went through the same kind of mental torture, many years ago, that I am going through today.”

Abhinav also added that it was Raja who used to look after Palak when Shweta used to be busy shooting for Kasautii Zindagii Kay. “When Shweta used to work for 12-12 hours on the sets of Kasautii Zindagii Kay, it was Raja who gave Palak both a father and mother's love at home but look how he was repaid. Ultimately, Shweta levied serious accusation against him and threw him out of his own house. The house in which Shweta and Raja lived was on both their names," he said.

Abhinav said he connected with Raja in June last year. "I spoke to Raja Chaudhary for the first time in June last year. In fact, Raja did not have my number, so he contacted me through social media and then when we spoke over the phone. He understood my situation very well, so if Raja Chaudhary has made this statement, there must be some reason for it, and I don't want to know that reason. I just know that the Raja is a good man and what happened to him in the past is what is happening to me in the present,” Abhinav said.

He further added, "I want my child because I am a father. And, just as a mother loves her child, so does a father. Now, I only have the court's support. I had to submit my application in the court within a week, which I have done. Shweta's reply should come in a week's time and next week the hearing will be scheduled. All my hopes are now on the court, and I am sure I will get justice."

For the unversed, Shweta and Raja got married in 1998. They welcomed their first child Palak in 2000. After 9 years of marriage, Shweta filed for divorce in 2007 after she complained that she suffered domestic abuse in her marriage. In 2013, Shweta tied the knot with Abhinav after dating him for a few years. In 2016, the couple welcomed their first child, Reyansh. In 2017, Shweta filed a complaint of domestic violence against Abhinav following which he was taken into police custody. The couple separated in 2019.
