Rubina Dilaik became a household name with shows like Chotti Bahu, Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki and many others. The actress recently won the Bigg Boss 14 trophy and fans can't wait to see her sign more projects. Now, as per the latest reports, Rubina is all set to return as Saumya in Shakti. According to a leading daily, the actress will be seen in a cameo in the show.
Rubina had quit Shakti in 2020 after playing the role of Saumya, a 'kinnar', for 4 years. Her co-star Vivian Dsena also quit the show in 2019 as he wasn't ready to play a father on-screen. Reportedly, the makers of the show had approached Vivian for a cameo. A source told the daily the actor didn't show interest. "We don't know if the role didn't excite Vivian or the bone of contention was money- but abhi Vivian nahi aa raha. Efforts to persuade him are still continuing on the side, though," the source shared.

The daily's report mentioned that the makers decided to bring back Rubina as Saumya for a couple of episodes to add spice. The source said, "Well, this decision was taken after Vivian refused to comply. The makers wanted someone with a huge fan base on social media and a little spice in the story. So, during a meeting after Bigg Boss 14 ended, someone suggested that why not get the character of Saumya which was played by Rubina. The idea was liked and approved in the next few days."
