Splitsvilla season 1 winner Vishal Karwal ties the knot with his longtime friend Heena in Himachal

The wedding season in the telly world is finally here. After actress Niti Taylor, Vishal Karwal tied the knot with his longtime sweetheart Heena in an intimate ceremony in Palampur in Himachal Pradesh on October 28. Vishal, who featured in shows like Splitsvilla, Rishton Se Badi Pratha, Dwarkadheesh Bhagwan Shri Krishna and Bigg Boss 6, spoke to a leading daily and told that the wedding was planned in April. He said that though he wanted to push it ahead due to the pandemic, both the families decided to stick to the original date.

"Owing to the lockdown and the pandemic situation, we had planned to postpone the wedding to December. However, my family felt that it would be very cold in my hometown during that month. So, we went ahead with the original date. Around 100 people, including our relatives and my friends from Delhi and Mumbai, attended the wedding. The pre-wedding rituals — mehendi and shagun — took place on October 26 and 27, and the haldi took place on the morning of October 28," Vishal told.

Talking about his relationship with Heena, Vishal revealed that they dated for a couple of years when the actor was studying in Chandigarh. However, when he shifted to Mumbai, they lost touch. They reunited on Heena's birthday 18 years later. "I have never been vocal about my relationship. I like to keep it private and prefer not to talk about it at all. Heena and I dated way back in 2001 when I was a student in Chandigarh, but we lost touch eventually. I wished her on Instagram on her birthday on April 15 last year and got talking. We have been dating since. I have known her for 20 years of my life," he added.

Revealing their honeymoon plan, Vishal said they were to go on a month-long trip to Bali, but now, will settle for Goa. "We might just fly to Goa in mid-November before my birthday. I will get my car from Mumbai to Goa and then go on a road trip to South India," he said.
