Rani Chatterjee, who participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi 10, spoke about dealing with depression a few days back in one of her Instagram posts. Now, the actress has written a detailed note addressing Mumbai Police, asking for help. She has claimed harassment at the hands of a person she names as Dhananjay Singh. She also wrote that she was depressed and might die by suicide.

Writing in Hindi, she said that she has been disturbed for a long time and though she often talks about being strong and positive, she can no longer take it. She said that a person has been writing bad things about her on Facebook for several years now. She tried her best to ignore them; others too asked her to ignore his posts. But she said that she too is human - he continues to fat-shame her and calls her ‘old’ . She added how people keep telling her to ignore them, at the same time, they also send her the links. She can’t ignore them now, she said.

“I will either commit suicide since I am suffering from depression because of this for the past several years. I cannot tolerate this anymore, #suicide,” she wrote in her post.

“I request Mumbai Police to consider Dhananjay responsible for my death if I decide to die by suicide. I don’t have any strength left now. The only option I am left with is to die after suffering from depression for so many years because of all this. I can’t bear this anymore,” read a part of Rani’s post on Instagram.

A week ago, Rani had taken to Instagram to write about facing depression due to social media. She wrote, “Whenever I feel depressed or I feel any stress, I check social media, then I become more depressed, I think that social media now makes you more sad than making you happy #facebook #instagram.”
