Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, sent the nation into shock with his passing away. The actor died of suicide at his Bandra residence on June 14. While his family is coping up with the loss, his fans are walking down the memory lane and sharing throwback pictures and videos to remember him. A week after his demise, an old clipping from his popular show Pavitra Rishta has been doing the rounds.
In the video, his character Manav Deshmukh actually sees Ankita Lokhande aka Archana Karanjkar for the first time while traveling on the local train. Previously, the characters who then get married, crossed paths at a temple but went unnoticed. Talking of Pavitra Rishta, Sushant's Manav was a mechanic who falls in love with Ankita's Archana.
Pavitra Rishta produced by Ekta Kapoor aired on June 1, 2009, and became Sushant's career's turning point. He was formerly seen in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil as the parallel lead. With Pavitra Rishta, Sushant and Ankita became the most loved onscreen and off-screen jodi. After dating for nearly six years, they called it quits. Sushant exited Pavitra Rishta in 2011 to pursue a career in films and was replaced by Hiten Tejwani.
An investigation regarding Sushant's suicide is currently in progress. The actor was said to be in depression for the past six months.
