Producers were pressuring to take a 40 percent pay cut and misbehaved with me: Simran Sachdeva on quitting ‘Choti Sarrdaarni’ show

Television actor Simran Sachdeva has been ousted from Colors’ TV show Choti Sarrdaarni, with Drishti Garewal stepping into her role. Simran has claimed that she opted out of the show as she was being forced to take a massive pay cut. She also said that the producer misbehaved with her.

In a recent interview with a portal, Simran said, “Lately, the producers were pressuring me a lot to take around a 40% pay cut which is not feasible for me. Also, in the past I’ve faced many issues with the production house regarding the payments as we weren’t paid on time. One of the producers misbehaved with me and was extremely disrespectful and rude.”

Simran played the character of Harleen Kaur Gill Bajwa in the show and was well-loved by the audience. She said that she had a choice whether to continue with the show post lockdown with a pay cut but she decided to quit the show. Simran had taken over the character from Mansi Sharma who had to step down due to health issues.

The Maharashtra government has given its nod to the resuming of shooting of films, television shows and web series now that the lockdown has been uplifted. Shoots were stalled since mid-March in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic.
