Ekta Kapoor is all set to bring the second season of her popular supernatural show – Kavach 2 starring Deepika Singh and Namik Paul in the lead roles. Reportedly, the show is going to replace Surbhi Jyoti and Pearl V Puri starrer Naagin 3.
The channel recently released the teaser of Kavach 2 wherein Sandhya (Deepika Singh) is praying to Lord Shiva on the occasion of Mahashivratri. A few seconds later; she gets to see the face of her life partner. But along with it, she also sees a scary lady who calls herself the kaal of her husband.

In the first season, Mona Singh and Vivek Dahiya played the lead roles; however, the makers decided to introduce new face for the second season. With Kavach 2, Deepika is making her comeback in fiction TV with the show. She earlier played the role of IPS Sandhya Rathod in serial Diya Aur Baati Hum.
Talking about Namik, the actor was earlier roped in to play one of the pivotal roles in Ekta Kapoor’s popular show Kasautii Zindagii Kay. However, a few days after the announcement, the producer decided to consider him for the lead role in Kavach 2 and replace him with Varun Toorkey in KZK.
