Ekta Kapoor surprised her fans by announcing the reboot of the epic love saga, Kasautii Zindagi Kay. The show starred iconic jodi, Prerna and Anurag Basu, played by Shweta Tiwari and Cezzane Khan. The producer released a teaser clip of the revamped show, revealing actress Erica Fernandes in the lead but there was no clarity as to who will play the male lead in the show.
Now we have got our hands on photos posted by fan pages that suggest that Kaisi Hai Yaariyaan fame actor Parth Samthaan has been finalized for the role. In the photos that have surfaced online, Parth is seen shooting for the new promo of the show at Palghar railway station.

While it was earlier speculated that Barun Sobti or Ssharad Malhotra were the choices for Ekta's new Anurag Basu, PeepingMoon.com had confirmed that they were only rumours as Parth Samthaan was leading the list of Ekta's options for the male lead. And now looking at the photos, we are sure that eventually the actor has been cast for the iconic role.
Now we just cannot wait for the new promo to be unveiled and we hope to witness Parth and Erica's chemistry on screen.
For the unversed, Parth had recently wrapped up the third season of his popular television show, Kaisi Hai Yaariyaan and he was available for a new project. Apparently, Parth's close friend actor-producer Vikas Gupta of Bigg Boss fame, who also happens to be a close friend of Ekta Kapoor, recommended the name to the TV Czarina.
Moroever, as per a report in a leading daily, the KZK 2 team will head to Kolkata later this month to kick off the shoot. "Parth, with his onscreen parents Uday Tikekar and Shubhaavi Choksey, female leads Erica and Hina Khan who plays Komolika, will head to Kolkata for a week. The team has already started shooting the Mumbai portions last week at Killick Nixon studio," revealed a source.
On a related note, other actors including Hina Khan, Sumona Chakravarti, Kali Prasad Mukherjee, Kanupriya Pandit and Pooja Banerjee have also been locked to play pivotal roles in the new show. Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2 will premier on Indian televisions from September 10, 2018.
