Popular television actress Mouni Roy will soon make her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar in Gold. But what has kept her in news otherwise are the speculations about the popular actress’ love life regarding her Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev co-star Mohit Raina. However, recently in an interview given to a leading daily, Mouni took everyone by surprise when she said, “I am single and have been so for a long time. Mohit and I are not even friends.”
When PeepingMoon.com got in touch with the Gold actress, she affirmed the statement and reverted, “Yes, I am single and don't like to talk about my personal life.”
The news might come as shock and disbelief to the couple's fans, considering that until recently Mouni was gushing over Mohit’s look from 21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897. She even heaped praise on his look on Instagram.

Mouni and Mohit were always rumoured to be dating but they never acknowledged their relationship in public. In fact, Mohit had said in an earlier media interaction that he and Mouni share a strong bond of friendship and it is only the assumption that they are dating. Mouni and Mohit were often spotted together at parties and award shows and last year a picture of the two from a friend's Diwali party went viral.
As for now, Mouni is looking forward to kick-starting her Bollywood career. Besides, Gold she has a number of lucrative projects at hand. She will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra that features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. She has also signed Dinesh Vijan’s quirky comedy Made In China in which she plays a Gujarati housewife to Rajkummar Rao and has also signed Romeo Akbar Walter opposite John Abraham.
