Salman Khan's show Dus Ka Dum to now air on weekends as poor ratings continue?

Salman Khan’s Dus Ka Dum (DKD) made a comeback after a hiatus of nine long years but Bhai's magic did not work well this time, despite the superstar being at his entertaining best as the host of the show. In fact, the show opened with a rather dismal rating of 1.1, reaching 2.6 million viewers.

Considering this, it was touted that the show's duration (one-and-a-half hours) was to be blamed for this. Thus, along with Dus Ka Dum 3, the makers also made changes to their other show, Zindagi Ke Crossroads, and reduced the runtime of both shows from one-and-a-half hour to an hour due to poor ratings. Unfortunately for all concerned, Dus Ka Dum 3 did not live up to the hype.

Now as per a report in a leading daily, the makers of the show are considering introducing more changes. Apparently, the show might be moved from weekdays to weekends. Secondly, the makers are planning to make Dus Ka Dum 3 more celebrity-driven. Well, it is not unknown that stars like Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Diljit Dosanjh and others, have featured in some or the other episode but of course, that is not always the case.

But going ahead, the makers are planning to have a big name from the industry make an appearance in every episode. A source informed the daily,  “Everything is under deliberation, but nothing has been finalised as of now. Salman will start shooting for the show again from July 16. Kamal Haasan will visit the sets to promote his film Vishwaroopam 2. The rest of the line-up is not yet clear.”

Reportedly, the makers are also in talks with Kajol to appear on the show as a guest. “Right now, Kajol is in the UK, and she will return to Mumbai after celebrating her birthday on August 5. Talks are on with Rekha, too,” informed another source.

Meanwhile, Salman will shoot for DKD till mid-August intermittently, so the makers are leaving no stone unturned to do their best to get good ratings.
