Box Office: Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Article 15 witnesses a strong foothold; Kabir Singh inches close to Rs 200 crore mark

Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Article 15, which released on June 28, is having a steady run at the box-office. The film seems to have a stronghold despite heavy rains affecting Mumbai and other reasons that could possibly lower turnouts, but did not. The audience are thoroughly loving the investigative drama and the numbers are proof. It started off by collecting Rs 3.97 crore on the first Monday after witnessing an opening collection of Rs 5.02 crores. The total collection of Article 15 in four days now stand at Rs 24.01 crore. 

Well, we must say, Ayushmann is definitely delivering another hit with this hard-hitting and thought-provoking film, which is inspired by real events. Article 15 has struck the right chord with Bollywood and at the film’s special screening, all the Bollywood personalities who watched the film were touched by its gritty and hard-hitting content which emphasizes on the atrocities in the society. The Anubhav Sinha directorial features the actor in a never-seen-before cop avatar with a heroic element to the character. With a no-nonsense appearance, Ayushmann's character has already become a hit among the audience with a realistic portrayal.

On the other hand, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh remains unstoppable at box office. The film collected Rs 9.07 crore on Monday and the total collections now stand at Rs 190.64 crore. The film, which is a remake of Sandeep Vanga Reddy's Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, is now inching closer to Rs 200 crore mark despite getting mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike.
