Kabir Singh box-office collection Day 1: Shahid Kapoor's and Kiara Advani's film gets a bumper opening

Shahid Kapoor's and Kiara Advani's latest film Kabir Singh released on June 21 and its Day 1 box-office collections are here. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Kabir Singh is the Hindi remake of superhit Telugu film Arjun Reddy starring Vijay Deverakonda. The film had a bumper opening and collected Rs 20.21 Crore on day one.

The film is not only Shahid Kapoor's highest opener but the film is also the highest opener for an A certified film. After Bharat and Avengers, Kabir Singh is amongst the top three opening occupancies of the year and also top non-holiday openers of all times. Released in 3123 screens across India, Kabir Singh has managed to get a superb opening at the box office.

Speaking of Kabir Singh, the film is about a hot-tempered medical student Kabir, who falls in love with his junior at college, Preeti. Soon, Preeti gets married off to someone else, leaving Kabir shattered. He sets himself on the journey of self-destruction. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Kabir Singh hit the screens on June 21.
