Box Office: Ayushmann Khurrana’s AndhaDhun inches towards Rs 100 crore mark in China, beasts Baahubali 2’s lifetime collections

Sriram Raghavan’s AndhaDhun starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte in the lead has been scoring great at the Chinese box office too. The film took everyone by surprise when it released last year and made it to IMDb’s list of top films as well. Now, it is keeping the Chinese audience hooked to its plot line. AndhaDhun released in China on April 3 for the five-day Qingming festival weekend (Chinese Memorial Day) in the Middle Kingdom, and has received a tremendous response,

The film has garnered a total of $14 million (Rs 97 crore) in its opening weekend. Ayushmann, who received rave reviews for his performance in the film is also apparently keeping a track of the figures. He also shared a post on Instagram stating that AndhaDhun is releasing in China in 5000 plus screens.

Interestingly, AndhaDhun broke the records of lifetime collections Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in China. The Prabhas starrer broke records everywhere but was not well-received in China and collected only $11 million. AndhaDhun is touted to take over Rani Mukerji’s Hichki in collections soon as the film collected Rs 150 crore in China.
