Expressing his happiness over the film's Day 1 collections, T-series honcho Bhushan Kumar said, “It is a big day for the team of Satyameva Jayate. The film has opened to an extraordinaire number. These figures are the biggest of our joint association with Emmay and also a biggie for John and Manoj. We are extremely happy and thankful to the audiences, the actors, and the entire SMJ team.”

Co-producer Nikkhil Advani added,” It’s been a highly emotional day for the entire team of SMJ watching the film with the audiences that it was made to reach out to. Milap’s conviction has paid huge dividends and as producers, we are extremely gratified."

Despite the clash with Akshay Kumar's historic sports drama Gold, SMJ kickstarted its ticket window run with great numbers. As per trade reports, even though the film is rated A certificate, the opening at the box office and bookings for the week looks thoroughly promising.

In Satyameva Jayate, John plays a vigilante, who fights against corruption and social injustice. Amruta Khanvilkar and Aisha Sharma co-star in the film along with Manoj.
