Bigg Boss 14's first official eviction came in with a twist this season where seniors had to make a collective decision on the weakest link in the house. Punjabi sensation Sara Gurpal was the first contestant to be evicted, what came out as a surprise was the claims she made in the interviews days following her exit from the show. A few publications quoted a headline where Sara put the blame on Sidharth Shukla for her eviction from the house; she went on record to say that the later ousted her as a part of his revenge.
In a video shared on Instagram, Sara says, “I just want to tell everyone that I returned with the same dignity that I entered Bigg Boss 14 with. The audience has given me a lot of love. After coming back, I have been looking at everything and I am overwhelmed.” She blamed ‘one person’ for her eviction hinting at ‘Toofani Senior’ Sidharth and said that the audience disagreed with his decision of evicting her. She added that the other two seniors, actors Hina Khan and Gauahar Khan, were not in favour of her leaving.
However, her allegations did not go down with the fans of Sidharth and the show and Twitterati went ballistic refuting Sara’s claims. Sidharth has been pally and goofy with all the freshers this year to make them feel comfortable in the house, a different side of the actor that we didn't witness last season. For the unversed, Bigg Boss entrusted the seniors-Sidharth, Hina and Gauahar to unanimously make a decision to eliminate a contestant. While Gauahar and Hina were confused between Rahul Vaidya and Nishant, Sara also cut out for the list. However, Sidharth reasoned with his fellow peers and they decided to go together with Sara's name instead as the other two had potential to be explored on the show. In hindsight, Rahul and Nishant went on to become few of the most entertaining contestants on the show during their last immunity task.
