Ritwik Bhowmik shot to fame with Anand Tiwari's web show Bandish Bandits. He played the role of Radhe, a classical singer and garnered much attention and appreciation In fact, Jaideep Ahlawat, who himself gave a stellar performance in Paatal Lok, lauded Ritwik.

In an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon.com, Ritwik reacted to Jaideep's remark and said, "Jaideep bhai said something so beautiful. My favourite performance of 2020 has been Jaideep bhai's in Paatal Lok. When I happened to see him at Filmfare, he said the person he would love to congratulate would be me. That was such a big deal. That explains the absolute ability of surprising and shocking things that have happened to me this year. 2020 was the year of unpredictability for me."

Talking about being stereotyped after Bandish Bandits, Ritwik shared, "Aise kuch nahi hua mere saath. The week when the show released, I was getting many calls for 'Rajasthani ladka' roles. But later on, I realised most of the work I ended up doing after Bandish Bandits and what I'll be doing now, come from a different space. The makers are as excited as I am taking part in things that are so far away from Radhe. Thankfully nobody is typecasting me."

He further added that he didn't delve deep into the character and refrained from taking anything home. "I didn't take anything back home. I don't go deep into anything. I'm not one of those actors who can just live another life to play another person. I'm Ritwik and I can't lose my sense of being," he shared.
