The Rising Stars of Bollywood: ‘It's the work that matter, not any contacts or trophies,’ says Tripti Dimri

Tripti Dimri is on cloud nine after the tremendous response her last film Bulbbul received. Talking to PeepingMoon.com exclusively the young actor spoke about her work doing the talking and not any trophies or contacts.

When quizzed whether taking up Bulbbul on OTT was a risky choice and the accolades coming her way, Tripti very modestly said, “I think it’s your work that matters and not the trophies and your contacts and the choices that you make especially at the beginning of your career as that is when you can actually go wrong. That sets the pace for you and everything else just follows and I am actually very thankful to the people who thought that I was deserving of the award as I genuinely believe there were more deserving people than me. But I think it’s the trust that you have as an actor and the kind of choice you make are the only things that make you.”

Tripti was asked whether Bulbbul has shifted her perspective to pick a script. To this she said, “Even for Laila Majnu the character was completely different, she was a complex character and changes from first half to the second. For me that was also challenging and Bulbbul was also equally challenging. As an actor I look for parts that would challenge me and as actors we need to keep reinventing ourselves and after Bulbbul I am not looking to restrict myself to a particular genre.”
