Religion should empower you, not disempower: Kangana Ranaut talks about Zaira Wasim's decision to quit Bollywood

National Film Award-winning Kashmiri actress Zaira Wasim, who rose to fame with Aamir Khan's Dangal, recently sent shockwaves across Bollywood when she revealed her decision to quit the world of showbiz. She cited religious reasons for the same and stated that it 'consistently interfered with her imaan and her relationship with her religion was threatened.' Ever since then, the B-town celebs have been divided over her decision on quitting with stars like Raveena Tandon and Anupam Kher calling her out, thereby expressing their disappointment. 

Now Kangana Ranaut, who was present at the Judgementall Hai Kya song launch on Sunday, was asked about Zaira's major decision. To which the actress, who is known to be vocal about her opinions, told the media, "It should make you fulfill your life and if you think your life is already fulfilled, there's plenty of work around you. Try and help your family and friends. Kaveri is drying up. There's so much to do. So work and try and fulfill the environment around you. The essential fundamental requirement of any religion is to empower you, not disempower you," as quoted by a leading daily.

Well, it seems Kangana indeed has a strong message for Zaira too!

Meanwhile, on the work front, Zaira will be seen in Shonali Bose's The Sky Is Pink, which also stars Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. It is slated for a October 11 release, Kangana, on the other hand, is awaiting the release of Rajkummar Rao starrer Judgementall Hai Kya apart from Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Panga, and the recently-announced Dhaakad.
