Father's Day 2019: 'He talks to us at our wavelength,' Salman Khan admires dad Salim Khan's way of living

Salman Khan is one of Bollywood's most famous and successful actors but it is his father Salim Khan, who still remains his inspiration and superhero. The actor recently portrayed a 70-year old man in his last release, Bharat, and when asked about it, Salman told a leading daily that he was reminded of his dad. “I feel I should look like him when I get to that age,” he was quoted as saying. The actor further quipped that his father, the 83-year-old writer, is an inspiration for him when it comes to fitness. “He walks three rounds of Bandra Bandstand, does Pilates, yoga and a bit of weight training too,” Salman revealed.

Now on the occasion of Father's Day 2019, Salman pointed out that he admires his father's way of living and heaped praises on his 'cool' dad. “He is interested in things around him and he’s in with the times. He talks to us at our wavelength and converses with my nephews as if he is their age. He has really adapted well, but then, he is the coolest dad there is,” said the doting son. What's more? Salim Khan is also Salman's most honest critic. When Bharat released, he apparently told the actor ‘So jao, picture hit hai’ However, Salman admitted that he’s yet to hear any direct compliment from his dad. “Only once or twice he’s said, ‘Acha kaam kiya hai’,” Salman concluded with a smile.
