He can’t be solely responsible: Tanushree Dutta's sister Ishita on Ajay Devgn working with Alok Nath in De De Pyaar De

Tanushree Dutta, who had created a stir of the Me Too movement in Bollywood industry last year, recently lashed out at actor Ajay Devgn to work with Me Too accused artist Alok Nath. Now, her sister Ishita who shares a good equation with Ajay has opened up about the situation.

Recently, when Tanushree blamed Ajay for working with Alok Nath in De De Pyaar De, Ishita expressed her views too to a daily. "I understand that this could land me in a precarious situation, but what’s right is right. My sister is supporting the truth."

For the uninitiated, Alok Nath had been accused of sexual harassment by several actresses. He had even a rape charge levelled at him by producer Vinta Nanda.

Ishita had earlier worked with Ajay in Drishyam. Asked if her sister's remarks would create problems between Ishita and Devgn, Ishita answered, "Not at all. My equation with Ajay sir is separate and bears no connection with what my sister feels about the situation. I don’t think he will be upset or angry with me for what she has to say. Vatsal and I have a strong equation with him. Ajay sir isn’t the producer of the film, so he can’t be solely responsible. It has to be a collective decision. I believe that they (the makers of the film) couldn’t have possibly done anything about it," she said.

Yesterday, Ajay released a statement, explaining his stance and that it was not an option to replace Alok Nath at the last minute. "I reiterate I am extremely sensitive to the #MeToo movement. But when circumstances are beyond me, I don't see why an attempt is being made to `single' me out as being insensitive. This is untrue," the statement read.
