Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon laugh off rumours of cold war with hilarious Twitter banter, plans to celebrate ’50 days of being married in Luka Chuppi’

There have been rumours of a rift and a cold war brewing between the lead actors of Luka Chuppi- Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan. The film was a stupendous hit at the box office and crossed Rs 95 crore but there were reports that Kriti was upset with all the credit and praise Kartik was getting for the film while her work was being overlooked. There were strong rumours that the two were no longer on talking terms with each other as Kriti believed Kartik “hijacked” the film’s success.

However, the two actors have laughed it off and even made a joke out of the speculations. They celebrated the film’s 50 days success with funny posts on social media that rubbished the rumours about the cold war. Kartik shared a picture of the two from the set of the film and in a typical Indian husband’s way messaged Kriti about the rumours. He also alluded to the fact that the film completed 50 days with the words, “We've been married for 50 days!"

Kriti also shared the same picture on Instagram and asked Kartik to take her out for the celebrations.

She also responded to Kartik’s tweets on Twitter as well. Apparently, Kartik who is busy shooting for his upcoming films wrote that he is super enthusiastic to take her out to celebrate the film’s success. Check out their tweets below.

Kriti had earlier told a daily that she had been overlooked for the film’s success and all the credit has gone to Kartik. She had said, “This business of overlooking the leading lady has been going on for a while and it's so unfair. I am glad this conversation is finally happening. It's logical to talk about only the male protagonist when the leading lady doesn't have a lot to do, but when they are both carrying a film on their shoulders, the credit should be equally shared. Everybody deserves a mention.”

Luka Chuppi was directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films. Apart from Kriti and Kartik the film also starred Aparshakti Khurana, Vinay Pathak and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
