Former Bigg Boss contestant Ajaz Khan has been arrested by the Mumbai police for posting controversial Tik Tok video and mocking Mumbai police. Reportedly, the video was tagged 'communal' in nature which led to his arrest.
A Mumbai Police spokesperson said that the Cyber Police had received complaints along with some videos which had gone viral on social media. Ajaz is arrested under section 153A which is promoting enmity between two groups and section 67 which is transmitting obscene material in electronic form.
"It was found that Ajaz Khan has created/uploaded these videos with objectionable content mainly promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, etc. and create hatred among public at large," said the police.
For the uninitiated, Ajaz who shared this controversial video was a response to the FIR that was filed by the Mumbai police against Tik Tok celebrities who shared a video reacting to the mob lynching of Tabrez Ansari in Jharkhand and had said that if Ansari's son were to take revenge, he shouldn’t be called a terrorist.
This is not the first time where Ajaz has made headlines. Last year, the actor was arrested by the Anti-Narcotics Cell from a hotel for possession of drugs. Later on, he was granted bail by the Bombay High court.
