Deepika Padukone has been receiving a lot of flak lately for not being experimental enough with her sartorial sense. But now after winning our hearts over with her dramatic appearances at Cannes, DP has impressed us once again with her detour from designer gowns.

The actress attended the GQ Best Dressed event on May 26 and was a femme fatale in black at the red carpet. Wearing a sheer striped asymmetrical top from Balmain, Deepika paired it up with ultra-chic faux leather shorts from Saint Laurent and a pair of danglers.

Styled by Shaleena Nathani, Deepika’s look was rounded off with sheer stockings and Louboutin pumps but it was her sparkly cuffs over the sleeves that caught everyone’s attention. Accentuating her look with a winged eyeliner and nude makeup, her sleek high long-braid done by Gabriel Georgiou gave her a superwoman look.
