‘Excellent work,’ says Kamal Haasan as he showers praise on Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani for Shershaah

Sidharth Malhotra’s and Kiara Advani’s Shershaah has been receiving raving reviews and appreciation ever since it was released on Amazon Prime Video on August 12. The film, a biopic on Param Vir Chakra awardee and 1999 Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra has got everyone misty-eyed and swelling with pride at his valour and courage. Now, the latest to join the bandwagon of celebrities who have been showering praise on the film is Kamal Haasan who called the film ‘excellent’.

Taking to Twitter, Haasan complimented director Vishnu Varadhan, Sidharth, Kiara and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions for the film. He also stated that the depiction of the Indian Army in the film was apt.

Shershaah has far become Sidharth’s best film of his career. Even the family of Captain Vikram Batra, along with his parents and twin brother, Vishal Batra has lavished praise on the film and the actor’s performance. Vishal in an interview recalled his famil’s meeting with Sidharth and said, “When we met Sidharth for the first time we felt he had a lot of similarities with Vikram. During the course of our interaction with him, we found that he was a very good human being, very humble, passionate, and a loving guy. Hence we thought he was the perfect choice to play Vikram's role.”

Kiara, in the role of Vikram’s girlfriend Dimple Cheema has also been appreciated a lot for her nuanced acting. Not only critics and celebs but the audience have been moved by their performances in the film and took to social media to laud the film.
