Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti finish filming ‘You Season 3’; showrunner Sera Gamble promises a ‘bonkers’ new series

Netflix users have been eagerly waiting for You season three ever since the series two dropped at the end of 2019. Now, showrunner Sera Gamble took to Twitter on Friday to let fans know that that it was the final day of shooting and that season three has officially wrapped.

Taking to Twitter, Sera wrote, “Today is our last day of shooting season 3 of #YouNetflix. Can I brag to you for a hot second?" As Sera detailed the fact that there were "zero on-set positive COVID tests," she also teased viewers about what they can expect from the upcoming season.

Sera revealed how the cast and crew ‘worked very hard’ to make the best show they could while staying safe as possible, even during ‘a significant and surge’ in Los Angeles. She also shared the anecdote what the production produced. Sera wrote, “Also, the episodes are f--king bonkers and the performances are insanely good. That's all I'll say about that till we are ready to talk about the new season."

She shared what a mammoth achievement it is wrapping up the season during the pandemic and wrote, “That's all I'll say about that till we are ready to talk about the new season. And thanks for all the lovely responses! I am forwarding all good vibes to the cast and crew. Hope you love the season when it gets here.

You season two ended with Joe Goldberg (played by Penn Badgley) moving to the suburbs with Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) as they prepared to raise their child. However, he does not seem to have gotten over his creepy behaviour as the final scene saw Joe peeking through his garden fence and watching his neighbour reading a book. However, in season 2, Joe has found an equally formidable partner in Love who confessed having killed his neighbour Deliah at the end of the series. You season 3 is expected to drop on Netflix in the later part of 2021.
