Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to be seen next in his dream director Sudhir Mishra's Serious Men. After sharing a candid note of his early years of trying to meet Mishra, Nawazuddin has now shared his first poster from the project in a video format. The film is based on a lower class man tormented with his under-privileged societal status, an ambitious underachiever capitalizes on his son’s newfound fame as a boy-genius to improve his family’s fortunes. However, soon he finds out that the secret he harbours will destroy the very thing he loves the most.
Sharing the video along with the release date, Netflix wrote, "If there's anyone we're serious about, it's you Nawaz #SeriousMen". This will be Nawaz's thrid collaboration with Netflix after Sacred Games and Raat Akeli Hai. Serious Men will release on October 2 on Netflix.
Nawazuddin plays the lead role in Mishra’s Serious Men, which is based on Manu Joseph’s book of the same name. The story revolves around a slum dweller who tormented by his poverty tries to use his son’s newfound fame as a boy-genius to improve his family’s fortunes. Sudhir is known for films like Yeh Woh Manzil To Nahin, Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin and Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi. Serious Men has been produced by Bombay Fables and Cineraas Entertainment.
