After much wait, Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Pooja Bhatt's Sadak 2 will be greeting the audience on the digital platform. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, the film will premiere on Disney+Hotstar on August 28, 2020. The makers, post releasing the first look posters on Monday, shared the trailer on social media platforms today.
Sadak 2 picks up from the point where it ended in its prequel. Sanjay returns as Ravi, a taxi driver. Just like the way his life changed after meeting Pooja, a passenger, this time, it is with Aryaa, played by Alia. Aryaa, a young girl who is avenging the death of a close one, plans a trip to Kailash and hires the taxi driven by Ravi. Her love interest Vishal (Aditya) joins her on the sadak to unravel the dark secrets of a godman (Makarand Deshpande). As they proceed on the road to love, revenge and discovering the truth, three different worlds unite for justice.
Sadak 2 is Mahesh's comeback directorial. The film also stars Gulshan Grover, Jisshu Sengupta, Priyanka Bose and Akshay Anand. It is a sequel to the hit 1991 film Sadak, a romantic thriller, which featured Pooja and Sanjay. The film is written by Mahesh and Suhrita Sengupta. The additional dialogues are by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj. It is produced by Mukesh Bhatt's Vishesh Films.
