After a long wait, the digital release of Alia Bhatt's, Aditya Roy Kapur's, Sanjay Dutt's and Pooja Bhatt's Sadak 2 was announced during a live press conference held by the OTT platform Disney+Hotstar on June 29. days later, Alia announced the release date as August 28, 2020. Now, as the makers of Sadak 2 are gearing up for the trailer launch tomorrow, they unveiled Alia's, Sanjay's and Aditya's respective look on social media.
Speaking of Sanjay's poster, the actor seems to reprise his role as Ravi from Sadak in the sequel. The actor carries an intense look with bloodstains on his face. Sanjay is seen holding an earthen pot with burning embers while Pooja's portrait is in the backdrop.
On the other hand, Alia, whose character name hasn't been revealed, seems to be a troubled woman seeking answers as she fights her own battles. In the backdrop, we can spot a self-styled godman. Playing with fire, Alia's character is enigmatic.
Contrary to Alia's and Sanjay's intense poster, Aditya is flashing an infectious smile on his look poster. His character appears to be carefree and likely add a fun twist to the thrilling drama.
Sadak 2 is Mahesh Bhatt's comeback directorial. The film also stars Makarand Deshpande, Jisshu Sengupta, Priyanka Bose and Akshay Anand. It is a sequel to the hit 1991 film Sadak, a romantic thriller, which featured Pooja and Sanjay. The film is written by Mahesh and Suhrita Sengupta. The additional dialogues are by Pushpdeep Bhardwaj. It is produced by Mukesh Bhatt's Vishesh Films.
