In December last year, Ekta Kapoor and her digital entertainment platform ALT Balaji announced Parth Samthaan's gangster drama Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu. The actor who is currently winning hearts with his performance as the charming Anurag Basu in Kasautii Zindagii Kay reboot with Erica Fernandes, will be seen in a completely new avatar. With the character Nawab, Parth will be seen pulling off a grey character in the web series. The teaser of Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu was shared last year and the makers announced the commencement of the shoot. However, due to the Coronavirus lockdown, work is currently on hold. Amid this, an entertainment portal's report stated that Patralekhaa has been approached as Parth's leading lady. According to the report, sources close to Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu told that the actress showed interest in the past but nothing has been confirmed yet.
"Patralekha was approached for the show long time back and she showed interest too. However, nothing has been official yet and anyway as of now, the shooting for the series is on a halt. If everything goes smooth, she may star opposite Parth," the source told.
Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu is said to chronicle the rise of the underworld don Nawab's rise from the 1980s to the 1990s. Reports suggest that the show will be loosely based on the life of Abu Salem who was infamous for Bollywood extortion during that period.
