Celebrated music director Gourov Dasgupta’s latest Pop Single Saiyyonee that released this afternoon is a glorious tale of love, romance and heartbreak. Asim Riaz and Shivaleeka Oberoi create magic on screen as they take you through the life of a couple that’s loved and lost.
Sung by Yasser Desai and Rashmeet Kaur, the lyrics of the song are written by veteran lyricist Sameer Anjaan. This is the first time Asim and Shivaleeka shared screen space. Sharing the song on Twitter, Asim wrote, "Tell us your favourite from these 2 creatives by replying to this tweet and we’ll use that for our song! #SaiyyoneePoster"
Talking about the song, Asim told, "I was stunned by the feel and the vibe the singers and the music composer have brought to 'Saiyyonee'. It felt amazing to be featuring in the music video of a song that's so fresh and full of love."
Shivaleeka added, "It is the kind of song that makes you want to hit repeat. Playing off to the energy of the creators of 'Saiyyonee' was an amazing experience. I'm super excited for the song to be out."
Talking about the track, composer Dasgupta said, "Saiyyonee is the song that celebrates a new beginning for me on all fronts, personal and professional... I feel this has the potential to be a timeless classic, and I'd like to dedicate to my daughter Vedika."
